Greater Dolores Festival
The Dolores River Festival is a community celebration of the Dolores River and the many ways it connects us to each other, the environment, and our resources. Osprey Packs has been a long-time supporter of this fun river event! Gates open at 10 am and live music will be performed all day.
Greater Dolores Action presents this annual event featuring local, regional and national bands, as well as, activities like the Fun Race, free raft rides on the Dolores River from Riverside Park to the Lost Canyon take-out, children’s activities, a down-river kayak race, the Zuke’s River Dog Contest, and the Crazy Costume River Parade. This community oriented event includes great food, beverages, information from our local organizations, merchandise and more. Admission is $5, and free for children 15 and under.
The Festival draws attention to the Dolores River Basin and the challenges faced by local communities trying to balance economic development and riparian resource protection. Greater Dolores Action earmarks a percentage of the Festival proceeds for river-enhancing activities such as garbage and debris removal, habitat creation and education – keeping your generous donation in the community. Your support of the Dolores River Festival shows your commitment to the preservation of one of the West’s great and scenic rivers.
