“Vertfest is a multi-stop mountain festival dedicated to raising the level of snow safety education and stoke for backcountry enthusiasts, and supporting the efforts of avalanches centers everywhere. “
For the first time ever, Vertfest is coming to Brighton, UT March 07 – 9, 2014 to bring you the 11th Annual Wasatch Powderkeg Ski Mountaineering Race and a weekend full of top-of-the-line demos from different companies such as La Sportiva, Scarpa, Voile, Mammut, Outdoor Research, as well as yours truly, Osprey Packs!
Be One of the First to Demo Our Kode Race 18
Don’t miss the premiere of our newest snow pack, the Kode Race series, which will be hitting stores this August. All race participants will have the chance to put the Kode Race to the test with the Wasatch Powderkeg Ski Mountaineering Race on Saturday, so be sure to stop by and grab yours before the race begins!
The race takes place on Saturday, March 8th. You can register here.
Ben Clark’s Clinics
Sunday will be packed full of clinics conducted by phenomenal professional athletes and we’re pleased to announce that Osprey Athlete Ben Clark will be teaching two clinics, both of which are guaranteed to maximize your rippin’ skills in the backcountry:
- Ski Videography: Learn from the best, as Ben has spent many years working on a variety of outdoor films, shooting in the most adverse conditions and terrains.
- Steep Skiing: Techniques and Tips for Skiing Steep, Committing to lines; Want to solidify the techniques and tricks for safely and confidently navigating steep lines, tight trees, exposed entrances, and remote locations? Ben is your man, as he has spent many years in the Himalayas and will be passing onto you some of the best knowledge you can have when picking your line.
As Always: We will also be having several different giveaways at our booth, so don’t forget to stop by!
A raffle that will reward you with good karma (and hopefully an Osprey Pack!) – The first thing you’re going to want to do upon your arrival to Brighton is get a raffle ticket. In combined efforts with the sponsors of the event, Vertfest was able to raise over $20,000 for NWAC at the Alpental, WA-Vertfest two weeks ago! Let’s top that amount at this weekend’s Vertfest — we’ll be raffling off product to benefit the Utah Avalanche Center, our backcountry protector and educator of snow & avy conditions! Support UAC by purchasing a raffle ticket is pretty much a win-win for everyone involved — Osprey stands 100% behind incredible non-profits like UAC and we encourage you to do the same.
Win a pack! – “Come one, come all!” We are challenging your skills at our fundraising game, Shoot the Moon, where a steady hand and a little determination could win you a pack! Donate $2 to play — all proceeds go to the fine folks at UAC.
Celebrate our 40th with us! – We are 40 years young and want to celebrate our birthday with you! Come by the booth and stock up on our limited edition 40th Anniversary swag. We’ll also have a 40th Anniversary Trivia Game, so be sure to brush up on your Osprey History 101. Did we mention our #OspreyAt40 Photo Contest? This is happening on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and we will be giving away 40 packs in 40 days, so check it out!
