Osprey Flys High at The Red Rocks Rendezvous

The Red Rocks Rendezvous kicks off today at Red Rocks Conservation Area — Spring Mountain Ranch State Park to be exact.

Powered by Mountain Gear and sponsored by yours truly here at Osprey Packs, the Red Rocks Rendezvous is a funtastic outdoor extravaganza featuring a full slate of outdoor clinics focused on climbing, mountain biking, trail running and much more.

Osprey Packs will be onsite in full force for the entire weekend with three full days of mountain biking clinics taught by the original Rippin’ Chick, Osprey athlete Alison Gannett, our very own bike marketing manager, Jeff “Fleet” Fox, and our friends at Trek Bicycles. Osprey athlete, climber and writer Majka Burhardt will instruct a full day Intro to Climbing clinic on Saturday and then follow that up with an Osprey in-booth appearance to sign and discuss her fantastic new book, Coffee Story: Ethiopia.

We will be totally set up with a full selection of free demos including Viper and Verve hydration packs ideal for all of your mountain biking and trail running needs and Variant and Mutant climbing specific packs ideal for a day at the crag, so make sure you swing by before heading out for the day.

We’ll have a dart game fundraiser for all of our friends over at The Access Fund. Bonus: you might win a killer prize from Osprey! And check out our Fix the Flat Contest; the top six times will compete onthe main Red Rocks stage on Saturday for their chance to win a new Osprey hydration pack.

There is so much going on at the Red Rocks Rendezvous, I would advise you to check it out for yourself. If you can’t make it this year, mark your calendar and don’t miss this great event next year!

We had a chance to try the Poco Plus pack during Red Rocks Rendezvous. We and our 6 month old sun had a blast hiking two days on easy and moderate trails. It is a very comfortable, very well built pack that will definitely last very long time. Once we are done with it in a few years, I am sure it will continue to make others happy. It is a well thought carrier with plenty of room. Plus model had plenty of packing space for a day’s hike. Built-in shade and the drool pad are awesome. I hope you consider to add a small pocket-size mirror for next time. Especially on a windy day, it would be nice to check up on the little one while still walking… Regardless, we are looking forward to our future adventures.
