Western Colorado Congress is hosting the event in grand junction. they are not listed on charitynavigator.com so i can’t give you their rating. however, being comprised of 6 community groups they have 4 main issues (not including ‘local’ issues) they deal with: gas drilling, the piñon ridge uranium mill, winning wilderness designation/public land management and keeping oil shale development at bay until the impact can be addressed.one of the founding members has also just published a book called “out of bounds” which sounds interesting.

also could not find out if they are a 501 3C
